Essay Writing Competition:- 

Anjuman-I-Islam’s  A.A Khatkhatay English Secondary School conducted the Essay Writing Competition on 5th Aug 2011. The main purpose behind the competition was to enhance the students writing skill and to develop the students’ interest in linguistics. The topics were;

• Importance of Newspaper
•  If there were no trees
•  Biography of a pen
•  Pleasures of reading
•  If Mother went on strike
•  Influence of Cinema
•  Where there is a will, there is a way
•  Horror of war etc
The children were divided into 3 groups - Group I (V, VI), group II (VII, VIII) and group III (IX, X) respectively. Winners were declared from the each group.

Naat Competition:-

School conducted the Naat competition on 18th Aug 2011. The program started with the recitation of holy Quran. More than 50 students participated. Students recited the naats in English as well as in Urdu. The melodious voice of children left the audience spell bound.
