Marathi Diwas

Marathi Diwas was celebrated in Anjuman-I-Islam's A.A.K.English Secondary School with great enthusiasm and zeal.

Marathi bhashaDiwas is celebrated every year on 27th February on the birth anniversary of Maharashtrian poet Vishnu VamanShirwadkar alias Kusumagraj.

Kusumagraj has contributed a lot in the cultural field of Maharashtra and tireless efforts have been made to make Marathi language the language of knowledge. As a tribute to our mother tongue and as a tribute to the memory of Kusumagraj, his birthday is celebrate as 'Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din' A rally was organised by our students in the vicinity along with their marathi teachers to create an awareness about the importance of the Marathi language.

Beautiful marathi poems were recited by our students. Our Marathi teachers explained the importance of the Marathi language and the significance of the day. It was indeed a pleasure listening to our little marathi poets
